「Very clean and affordable」

「The Horse Cave Motel was a pleasant surprise. A standard older style motel in a small town that felt alot like home. I grew up in a small town, so it was fun to revisit an older style, well maintained motel. The owners were very friendly, helpful and visibly worked very hard daily to clean and maintain the property. Very helpful and definitely a family affair! 「The room was clean and well kept. The guy that checked us in was great. The other people were not friendly at all. Don't bother with breakfast though because it's minimal at best. The location is great and we enjoyed our stay there. We've stayed there before which is why we went back. If you aren't worried about breakfast, I highly recommend staying here.」

「The room was old and outdated but clean. I tried to take a shower, no hot water and the handle fell off in my hand! Bed was comfortable and it was a place to sleep for one night.」

「Property was average. Employees were nice. Entrance Door to room was very loose and not sealed very good. Door moved in and out over 1/4 inch and 1/4 inch or more light could be seen at Door threshold. Fan in bathroom very noisy. Very good water pressure for baths.」

「Nice property and location. Reason for a lower rating is it was loud, not the guests/people, the hotel itself. For example, the doors are so heavy they all sound like they’re slamming, upstairs “neighbors” footsteps were loud, even the fridge was making a weird buzzing sound. We were in a higher traffic room right by the door to outside/stairwell so it sounded like slamming doors all night. Just if anybody is very sensitive to noise, this may be a bigger negative for a longer stay.」
