The price did NOT match the quality of the hotel. We changed rooms 3 times because of dirty sheets and old liquor bottles left in the room. The lobby floors were slick with water and filthy. I tried to call multiple times throughout the day of our check in to reserve a crib for our little one and could not get through to the front desk. They didn’t have any by the time we got there… When we arrived we learned there were no extra pillows and they weren’t receiving a shipment for 2 weeks. Also, the pool closed at 8 and that was the main reason we chose the hotel was so our children could enjoy swimming. The staff we spoke with were very nice, but not helpful for what we needed. I always try to stay at Holiday Inn Express if one is available, but this one is an absolute no-go for us again. $156 of dirt and disappointment.

This property needs to be updated badly. The bathtubs looked to be dirty but were badly stained. One of our rooms, the shower had hair in it still. The refrigerator didnt keep items very cold. The pool area was dirty and the pool had things floating in it such as hair, silly sting, dead mosquitoes(inside pool). The was a piece of the pool that kept coming unhooked and the staff just said "oh its fine." They would just pull the piece to the side of pool and put a wet floor sign over it. Breakfast was not very appetizing. Always out of cups, lids, no eggs except cheese omlets that were like rubber. There was food in the stairs the whole 2 days we were there. Staff lounging outside smoking during breakfast hours while items for breakfast ran out. This lasted an hour at one point.

The bakery across the highway was wonderful. The room was good. Beds were comfortable. The bathtub was not draining properly. The bathtub was very dirty.

We did not have hot water in the shower during our stay. Staff was not helpful and was very rude due to this issue. They advised us that due to the full capacity of the hotel, not everyone can shower at the same time, so we either come back from our outing at noon and take a shower or we can cancel our reservation. We were with the kid and did not want to change a hotel or cut our prepaid Mammoth cave tour. We took a shower at the Loves gas station across, which is OUTRAGEOUS!! They should fix the issues, plumbing and customer service and learn how to talk to people. Breakfast on the second day... well they ran out of most of the food before 8 am already... We paid the full price for all and did not receive the service.

We booked last minute late at night after the our first accommodations were less than desirable and we were greeted and checked in promptly with great compassion. We travel with a service dog and everything was perfect. Breakfast was busy with lots of spring break travelers but they did a great job keeping up with cleaning and refilling the breakfast station. Overall very friendly and accommodating.

First of all, Holiday Inn Express is one of two hotels my wife and I prefer over any others. These two are slightly more expensive than some others, but the quality of the beds, staff, faclities, etc, and including the breakfasts, is usually worth it. NOT THIS TIME: The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was cold - not "not warm", cold. The "omelets" were cool at best. After I trashcanned the first plate, I dug another off the bottom of the tray. It was slightly warmer, not warm, certainly not hot. The sausage patties were cold, and tasteless. Worst of all, the traditional highlight of the HI Express breakfast - the cinnamon rolls were also not even warm except on the very top. (They were still quite excellent after I took them to the room and ran them in the microwave for half a minute). Basically, today, 3/25/26, about 7:30, breakfast just wasn't worth it.
