「Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great.」

「We stayed in a family room which was clean and close to the beach, with some restaurants around. There is no USB socket in the room so need to bring your own sockets to charge your phones and devices. Pillows are too soft. Breakfast was included, with cold and cooked buffet for selection.」

「Amazing value. I can’t believe it was that cheap to be honest. Was expecting a bit of a dive but it was really pleasant. Comfy bed, good shower. Staff were very accommodating. Had a small issue with the toilet cistern not refilling in the first room, got moved straight away to an even better room. Can’t fault any of it. Nice little stay」

「Very well situated local shops within 5 minutes walk 15 minutes walk from pier 10 minutes walk from town centre . For the price room was clean but a mattress had few stains and some of beading at floor to wall broken . But comfortable bed tv and well stocked tea and coffee items . They also do a breakfast for £8.75 which for the amount they have was worth the money and well cooked with good choice 」
