Great Midtown Location!

Room was clean, but small (but we knew that going in!)...definitely convenient to the locations we knew we were going to be visiting in Manhattan

Good location

The room was small and the bed could have been bigger, not helped by a large intrusive a/c unit. However it was spotlessly clean and the room was serviced each day. The location was perfect and reception staff friendly and helpful so overall we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel U gives you a true NY feel. Great location for a day hike to Central Park, Time Square and Madison Square Gardens and next door to the Empire State Building. Great restaurants and food carts around every corner and a 3-5min Uber ride to practically any Broadway show or high end retailer you can imagine. The tiny 200 sq. ft. room provides a full size bed and full shower and really gives you that NY ‘Tiny house’ feel. The best part, unlike many NY hotels, Hotel U allows you crack open your window so you can really experience the sounds of NY too. If you only need a quick place to shower and sleep in NY, Hotel U is clean and the right price for you. And super sweet staff at this cute boutique hotel.

Fair price for location

Nice hotel and good location. Room was small and we had the hardest time opening the door because of handle malfunction… otherwise clean and staff was super friendly.

En primer lugar no tenían mi hab disponible, cuando me dieron una estaba sucia, pague por desayunos y no tenían el servicio, el segundo día al llegar se comprar me encontré con una rata, en ese mismo momento tome mis pertenencias y deje el hotel. No le recomendó a nadie que vaya y puse mi queja con Expedia, mi peor experiencia en los últimos 20 años

Loved that this property was walking distance to so many landmarks and attractions. I didn’t like how tiny the rooms were. Beds were comfortable as well as pillows. But, with luggage no walking space around room. TINY. Room was super clean, room AC seemed larger than the room! Staff was fantastic! I mean at the end of the day room is to sleep and if I think of it that way, it was perfect. Windows also small but you get a view of the back of the Empire State building.

I liked that the property is at a great location near many popular spots. The pictures of the rooms are misleading though. I wanted a room with the larger windows because of the view and instead got a small window in the corner. Other than that, everything was great!
