「Good property」

「Check in staff was nice. My issue was housekeeping, they opened the door on us twice while we were already settling in for the afternoon and were determined to enter the room, after I had already dismissed them.」

「We loved the staff, especially Darlene in Staunton, VA. She made my husband and me feel like friends, not just hotel guests!」

「Good location. Applebee's and Red lobster were walking distance. Easy access from.highway for a one night stay while on a road trip. Good breakfast variety.」

「It’s new and clean. Everyone is kind and nice. It’s close to the south gate of Shenandoah national park and the north gate of blue ridge road. 」

「Excellent stay for the price, the breakfast was more of a cold bar grab and go kind of scenario which was a little disappointing. They had a nice area set up with snacks and bottled drinks, the pool was nice and the kids enjoyed it, the room was clean, and the shower had good water pressure which is always a plus! Overall good place to stop for a one night stay.」

「We liked the fact that the hotel is historic but had modern conveniences. Also a prime factor was the walkability. Everything was literally right there.」

「It’s always refreshing when housekeeping smiles and asks if they can help with things (e.g., one volunteered to throw away a bag of trash that I was carrying). When the hardest-working hotel employees strive to make good impressions, it shows me that the hotel is well run!」

「This is an old-school inn in Staunton, which is a pretty town with lots of great restaurants. Both breakfast and dinner options were abundant. There was construction going on, involving the opening of a new building, but it did not impact my stay. This being Virginia, there was a smoking area on the end of the front porch, which felt quite genteel. Would stay again if the price is discounted.」
