We were there for a training seminar held at Holiday Lake State Park.

Friendly staff, clean room. A hotel that has been taken care of.

Room setup was great, ocean view was amazing. On site restaurant had good food and ice cream. Pots, pans, and plates provided. Close to Rudey Inlet and several other sites. Balcony door seal let wind through (not a big deal), wall had a gash in it, "living room vent" had mold, staff wasn't helpful ...

The places were very nice
I am not sure what we expected....but probably we thought there would be more people visiting the historical sites, being it was a summer weekend. It was very easy to get around and the people were nice. It was a great weekend of food and history !
We dined at the Rail Way for dinner & LOVED it. It is a local, no frills place with surprisingly EXCELLENT food. The service was a little slow, but friendly & attentive. The sirloin was easily the best I've had in a LONG time. Yummy comfort food!
Small, but historic! We were just stopping overnight on our way through, so didn't visit much.
Enjoyed the weekend, especially the Civil War era Ball and all the people dressed up in 19th Century clothing.
