Hotel Vischio Kyoto by GRANVIA

Hotel Vischio Kyoto by GRANVIA

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is within walking distance to the Kyoto train station. Very clean room and pleasant to stay. When you first step into the room after checking in, the TV screen shows the guest name that you are welcome to stay at their hotel, in Japanese and English, such a nice personalized welcoming atmosphere. The hotel size is just about right, not as crowded and chaotic as some larger hotels. I added breakfast to the booking, and the food was excellent, better or even much better than that of a couple of other hotels that I stayed during this trip. Hotel staff make you feel welcomed. Highly recommended."

Mercure Kyoto Station

Mercure Kyoto Station

10/10 Excellent
"Overall really great hotel. A little further away from Kyoto Station than I anticipated (about 12 min walk - keep in mind it was rainy and hot outside). Staff at the front desk were very good, although I had to ask for the turndown service after check-in, which provides a free drink. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of variety. Rooms were spacious, although the headboard of the bed is odd and makes it difficult to access the nightstand. No Onsite Laundry is a minus. The coin laundry is a few blocks away. They should have a service setup for that for a nicer hotel."
