The experience was outstanding and our room and the service was impeccable! The staff were extremely hospitable and very helpful throughout our stay. The sushi dinner was also incredible and the hotel bar was very cosy for a post dinner tipple! We will definitely be coming again when we next visit Kyoto!!

My husband and I spent four nights here. It was absolutely lovely - peaceful, tranquil and warm. Great place to come back to after a day out seeing the sights. I see other travelers complained about the cost of breakfast. In our opinion it was a lovely breakfast. A bit on the pricier side but still lovely. We actually skipped lunch most days because we were so full from breakfast and spent more time seeing the sights. The service at the hotel was wonderful. Very kind, warm and professional staff. The location was excellent - near the main train station. I spent quite a bit of time selecting this hotel and I am very pleased with our choice. Would definitely recommend it and would come back.

Absolutely gorgeous stay in Kyoto! On our last trip, we stayed at the Four Seasons, but this hotel is very similar for a much lower cost. Amazing design, brand new, thoughtful staff, and lovely bar and restaurant.
