"Negative remarks: 1. No coffee maker in the room and no complementary coffee in the lobby. This combination doesn't make for a good impression. 2. Room was tired looking. Bathroom was poorly designed (lean over the sink and hit your head on a shelf) 3. Lobby decor is more suited to a hospital waiting room than to the lobby of a major NY hotel 4. With the exception of the housekeeping staff (which was very pleasant) the staff members we encountered seemed as though they wished they were somewhere else. Positive Remark: Great location."

"I got in Town at 1am they cancelled my reservation and said they gave my room away so I couldn’t rebook. All hotels in the area were booked. A week later I get charged $600 for cancellation. They were the ones that cancelled it. Now it’s impossible to contact them. Total scam."

"We will never stay at this hotel again! We stayed Saturday thru Wednesday and for all five days only two people smiled or greeted us. There was only one person at the front desk that was very nice to us and it was a young man with glasses. The same young lady either chose to ignore me if I was next in line or pretended they didn’t see me and again helped the person behind me. Three different women worked the shuttle desk and acted as if we’re bothering them. The hostess at the hotel restaurant was rude and my toast was burned. Who burns toast and sends it out? I watched her as she went the extra mile for the guest before us and the guest after us. The hotel is beautiful. It’s a boutique hotel. The room was small but efficiently laid out great hot water pressure and the room was clean. I know this because I went through and wiped everything with a Clorox wipe. Even with all these pluses, the attitude, the lack of sincerity and the ignorance was unacceptable so if you like courtesy, polite people then don’t waste your money staying here at this hotel. but if you prefer rude, staff took good care less about your comfort then this is the right hotel for you."

"Room was clean, but needed updating. We paid extra for a balcony, but there were no chairs, so we did not get our money’s worth. If you want an upgrade, go for another suite option. Location cannot be beat, so overall the rating is good. We walked to theaters and nightclub. We could not get into the rum house because we did not have a reservation. The hotel breakfast at Friedman’s was a limited menu, but all was very good. French toast was outstanding. You need reservations for breakfast at Friedman’s also, especially in weekends. "
