「Super fun hostel in the heart of Hilo. They offer a daily activity so don't book any excursions until you see what they have to offer. The staff was great! Shoutout to Colette, Rose, and the tour guide who took us up to Mauna Kea for the sunset (sorry "J" I am AWFUL with names but thank you for a great tour!). 「My stay was really excellent. The people who live there are very kind, for any need they are ready to help. Not to mention the forest: drinking rainwater, eating the best coconut trees of my life, eating fruit that I had never even seen, waking up early with the birds singing .. all truly magical! I highly recommend it to EVERYBODY.」

「It served as a safe harbor with a bed. That's all we were looing for. Hotels.com had the wrong address, so we had to call the hostel to find the location. A little less than we expected in terms of number of showers and toilets. Staff was friendly, and we met other travelers. Some tiny ants in the room near any food left outside the fridge.」
