Great location, great price, so close to everything and to busses. Beach chairs and floats available to take to the beach as well as surfboards and snorkels for rent. Pretty run down property but cleaned well. The kitchen is great.

Budget friendly hotel

Friendly staff, budget friendly, quiet at night, walkable to the beach and restaurants. Overall a great stay for 1 or 2 nights. Would easily book again when in town.

The beds are dirty, the rooms are very basic with just bunk beds in and one bathroom, no chairs to sit. Mixed rooms so men snoring loudly. Convenient location, can have your laundry done on site, few options for things to do there. The worst and most basic one I've ever stayed at though.

The beach is nearby, and spending time on the lawn next to Honolulu Zoo is amazing! Although the breakfast service we used to have is no longer available, the kitchen and fridge are well-equipped, and there are also ABC stores and other eateries, so finding food is not a problem. However, be aware that you cannot buy beer without an ID at the stores on the main street. Of course, the hostel is non-smoking and alcohol-free. There are several hostels nearby, but it's hard to pick one over the other.

Great location, one block from beach. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms are simple and clean. Laundry service was a nice touch. Plenty to see and do in the area (zoo, aquarium, free hula shows and more) and plenty of food options.

The location of the hostel was excellent! It was close to the beach, but still in a calm neighbourhood. You could always get fresh towels, sheets and beach towels. There was also free beach stuff, that you could borrow for the day (e.g. paddle boards) The common area was really clean. The bathroom got cleaned daily, though I wish that the floor in the room would‘ve gotten cleaned more often. The beds were really comfortable as well as the lounging options in the common area!

I was turned away upon arrival. I had a confirmation email with my booking # but was then told I must provide flight information upon registration. This was not mentioned by Expedia when I booked with my credit card. Front desk clerk of hostel said that he’d try and reach out to Expedia while silently dismissing me and moving onto the next guest.
