「We really enjoyed this historic older building built in 1884 near the black river and close to Lake Michigan. Our room was small but comfortable; quiet at night and in the morning. We had a nice view of the water. Breakfast was phenomenal with many choices like a home-cooked meal. The only hitch was the first night where we didn’t know how to control the room’s radiator heat and it got too warm. Breakfast was hot, fresh and a great chance to chat with the host and other guests, but only if you wanted to. Host was not pushy and very accommodating.
