"TLDR: Food poisoning, insects, and nothing above 2 stars by any means. This was one of the worst “all-inclusive” experiences we’ve ever had. Staff were snarky, sarcastic, and quick to charge extra for everything - including mini-fridge drinks. There’s only one small pool and no hot tub unless you pay hundreds for a “spa package.” Nothing like any other Hyatt property we’ve stayed at worldwide. It honestly should not carry the brand name. English proficiency was extremely limited. When we called housekeeping for help adjusting the room temperature while I had fever and chills after consuming their drinks, they laughed and offered no assistance. The lack of basic support, even something as simple as vomit bags, was shocking. The drinks at the pool bar (piña colada, lemonade, “Riviera Maya”) triggered three days of nonstop vomiting, fever, chills, and nausea. They tasted artificial -like sugar, dye, and unclean water. The buffet was unhygienic and low quality. Chocolate milk separated into powder and tinted water. Bread tasted processed and artificial. Vegetarian labels were inaccurate, and we were even served shrimp after asking multiple times. Coffee tasted like cardboard. Restaurants weren’t open for breakfast or lunch, and dinner waits ranged from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Food was undercooked (burgers, pakoras), bland or overly salty. The lobby and washrooms had overpowering artificial nauseating scents. Rooms were outdated and dirty ants were on my toothbrush."

"Easy check-in, friendly staff and surprisingly good food for an AI resort. Enjoyed being able to access newer adults only Riu Caribe next door to let loose and then come back to a more low-key atmosphere. First time in a long time I feel I may have got an Expedia upgrade room- rooms at end of hallway ending in 07 had the hot tub on the balcony- very nice!"

"I will start off my review as it was good. The staff was absolutely amazing and very helpful and friendly. As for the hotel itself.. it’s advertised as one full resort with 7 bars and many restaurants but it is not. This hotel is connected to the Sens hotel which has more restaurants and bars and a batter pool THEY ARE NOT THE SAME just connected hotels. We tried to get into the bars and restaurants at the sens since this hotel was advertised as all in one but we couldn’t. We really only had one bar that was good but packed all the time. Our room was also within the Sens hotel pretty much so we were pretty far. Hotel is nice, smaller outside than we thought but nice beach and nice bed. Food was pretty good for the most part, pretty much the same stuff everyday. I had a great time nonetheless. Just wanted to write this so people can know this. "
