"I was in SLO on business and found the Sands incredibly affordable and comfortable. The rooms are large. The bed and bedding felt upscale and super comfortable. Bathrooms are newly remodeled. The front desk associate was very helpful and let me have a late checkout although I didn’t give her much notice, I was on a deadline and forgot while I was working on my room. The cleaning staff was friendly and professional. Overall I would stay here again. The only criticism is the noise from neighboring room is easily heard but the guests were partying so I suspect other business travelers would be much quieter. "

"Beautiful historical home. Room was nice, breakfast was very good. Staff was wonderful. The sink was located in the bedroom rather than with the shower/toilet. Bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay again. "

"WE were in the Van Gogh room - It was wonderful. The wallpaper was his lilies. The staff was great. We got there at 8:30 and were leaving at 5:15 the next morning. The receptionist made us china bowls of Greek Yogurt with fresh fruit and granola and BROUGHT IT UP TO OUR ROOM. We put it in the refrigerator and had a treat before we left for our train. She also arranged our UBer. I would come back in a minute. "
