"Hotel Cheval is a wonderful hotel that is beautiful, intimate and relaxing. Each room has access to the courtyard that has two large fireplaces, cozy sitting areas, a classic library space with a candy bar. The free breakfast is fabulous. The hotel is right in town so close to the center square and all the restaurants. The Pony Bar, which is part of the hotel has a great atmosphere and music at night. The hotel is pricey but but well worth it. "

"Location is great, easy walk into downtown. Nice breakfast restaurant just 1-2 block away and shops for items next door. Parking perfect and area very quiet. Sparkling clean, our place was smaller which was what we wanted and with all the space we needed for our busy trip wine tasting. Jill was very prompt with communications and information. We will definitely stay again!"

"Needed a kettle for hot water for French press or tea. A microwave would be helpful too. Otherwise excellent."

"I was only staying for one evening in the San Luis Obispo area and was very glad I stumbled on this property in my search. It's a small boutique property but the rooms are wonderful. I even had a fireplace in the room and used it on a chilly wet night. The bedding was better than home and was super comfortable with a variety of pillows for every taste. The proprietors were very welcoming on arrival and gave us everything we would need. The next morning we were treated to a gourmet breakfast...

"Beautiful little beach studio, only bad thing I could report is that it’s bright first thing in the morning with all the sky lights and window on the front door. Besides that not a single complaint.."
