Unsafe conditions and lots of deferred maintenance. Some small annoyances like the stove not working, the keypad locks not working, the toilet paper dispenser broken, the toilet flush broken, the bathroom lock broken (locking me in at one point) etc. Some genuine safety concerns like large wood splinter sticking out of the floor outside of the shower and the safety chain on the front door broken. Management is totally unresponsive. I heard from locals that they're trying to sell the place and so I think they just have stopped doing any active management beyond collecting money.

Flush mechanism would get stuck and you'd have to sort of bang on it a few times to get it to stop flushing.

LOUD. EXTRAORDINARILY LOUD. The night club has a DJ and the bass on his music rattles this suite. We put the steel framed end tables on the couch and chair to stop them from vibrating and making noise. And the music, the singing, the DJ and the crowd are as if we were sleeping in the bar. I wish I could post the sound for everyone to hear. It’s LOUD, It’s turned up to 11. The owners need to do something with that bar. Its effing unbelievable how loud it is in here. We thought Friday night was bad, tonight, Saturday night is worse. It’s 10:15pm and it’s going to be a long night.

SLO loft Gypsy is comfortable, nice layout, very secure. Perfect for shopping and dining downtown. I was warned about the noise from the street and the restaurant/bar below but I was naive My last night was Friday and there was a “guest DJ” in the establishment below us. All we heard (even with ear plugs) was the thumping beat cranked up. Although we enjoyed the stay for the most part we can’t return because of the noise. Sad about that The lofts are truly a unique experience and for that I say they must be visited a least once.

Extra details needed before booking.

Great property and location for downtown. Just needs more information prior to booking such as: expect drunks and loud music that might keep you up at night (bar/club below), there is a hidden cleaning fee that is conveyed only in welcome envelope. And parking is off site in local parking garage.

This is our second stay at the Lofts and we will certainly be back again. Such unique and gorgeous rooms and amenities. Check in is super easy and they provide parking passes for a nearby parking garage. The Lofts are right in the heart of downtown SLO providing a cool vibe that is super convenient for shopping and dining. We can’t wait to go back!

Great location, great communication with Stacia, we got an early check in and late check out. Furnishings are modern and comfortable, fully equipped kitchen made cooking snacks at home a great breakfast option. This will be our go-to when visiting our Cal-Poly student

You have a sign to encourage us to reuse towels in the bathroom, but there are no hooks or bars to hang anything on. You provided only one dish towel in the kitchen for 4 days. Also needed more hand towels. We needed an ice maker or trays to make ice. We appreciated plenty of paper towels and zip lock bags. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and staying close to our family in two other lofts.

Loved the loft style! My daughter and I felt really safe which is a challenge in the middle of the city. Easy to park and just walk everywhere. We had a wonderful girls trip!
