"We just returned from our stay at Baha Mar, and overall we had a great time, but there are definitely a few things I'd want future guests to know. The biggest downside was the food. It was extremely expensive and, in most cases, just wasn't very good. On top of the menu prices, everything had a 15% service charge plus a 10% VAT added, which made meals much more expensive than expected. Even a piña colada was around $20, and surprisingly, they weren't even consistent from one bar to another on resort grounds. If you're looking for a quiet couples' getaway, be aware that there are lots of families with young children throughout the resort. Also, I expected a more laid-back island vibe, but many guests dressed very formally, even first thing in the morning to grab coffee. Now for the positives, because there were many! Our room was beautiful, the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, and the resort grounds are absolutely stunning. The water park was one of the highlights of the trip. It's included with your stay (otherwise admission is around $160 per person), and the lazy river was fantastic. The beach area was also beautiful, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the ocean. Would I go back? Probably, but I'd definitely budget more for food or plan to eat off property a few times. Baha Mar is a gorgeous resort with outstanding amenities, but the dining experience and high prices kept it from being a perfect vacation."

Comfort Suites Paradise Island

"Just stayed here for 5 nights, staff was amazing and nice. Rooms were very clean! Can't beat the access to Atlantis! Water pressure is not the greatest. Air conditioning was ok but would have liked it cooler And the only other complaint was the fire alarm went off 2 mornings at 745. I would recommend staying here though Pool is nice restaurant is reasonable Grounds are well maintained!"

Sandyport Beach Resort

"Sandyport Beach Resort was the perfect place for me and my teen daughter. We wanted a low key resort where we were treated well but didn’t have to fight crowds. We had the lagoon beach practically to ourselves, it was amazing. We loved Da Conch Shack which was perfect for afternoon drinks or snacks by the pool. Alex, Bass, Miss Knowles and others treated us great there! The front desk helped whenever needed. As a small resort there weren’t many restaurants on site but within five minutes, there was a beautiful bar with live music and amazing cocktails, there were a few great family/casual instruments, at a convenience store around the corner, where we could get pretty much anything we needed. There wasn’t as much shopping as I would’ve hoped for, but then again we didn’t venture too far from the resort. Oh and the prices were so reasonable! If you don’t need huge waterslides and fanfare do yourself a favor, stay in a peaceful gorgeous place and just relax."

"The staff were really nice and knowledgeable. They have happy hour 730-9pm for free every day as complementary. You just need a coupon from the front desk. Their breakfast is not the best. They don’t really have any options. It’s just waffles, bread, eggs, coffee and juice every day. The location is convenient. It’s close to downtown and excursions ports."
