I rated it terrible mainly because the hotel manager Nigel. This man was very rude and completely not suitable or competent for his position. I booked 4 nights from February 21-25. After we checked in 10 minutes my daughter found a live maggot on the bed sheet. I wasn’t in the room as I was down there in the lobby. My daughter sent me the pic and I sent to the staff. The booking initially was non refundable, the front staff and the housekeeper manager were nice they apologized for what happened and offered me another room. They explained this never happened before and don’t know where it came from but it might dropped off from the ceiling. However with what happened we just couldn’t sleep in that hotel again so we decided to leave. The front desk staff said the manager Nigel has left for the day but he’ll be in tomorrow and tomorrow he’ll review the incident and there shouldn’t be a problem with the refund. Even one of the staff said she would leave if it’s her with that situation. However the next day Nigel refused to give the refund, he even said “if there’s a maggot then why you daughter still lay on that bed?”. I couldn’t believe he would say like this. This man has no heart he said he protect the hotel image so he denied it, Marriott should let this man go he did no good for the company name. I attached a picture here so everyone can see it from their own eyes.

Booked ocean-view double room for Mom’s birthday; got downgraded on arrival. Promised move next morning—never happened. Chased front desk; one staff brushed me off, but a helpful young lady gave partial refund + breakfast voucher. Arranged birthday room decoration while we were out 4+ hours—returned to nothing done. Housekeeping said they thought we were switching rooms (despite confirmation we’d stay). Total miscommunication chaos. One staff member tried hard to fix it, but overall very disappointing for a special occasion.

It was a terrible stay in this hotel. First of all, it’s so far from 4 stars as it’s said in the description. The beach is really near but it’s a public beach, dirty, and to get there you have to pass an extremely busy road with practically no pavement. For 4 stars hotel it should’ve been at least minimally beautify. When you get to the hotel lobby you are knocked down with a smell of a cheap perfume ( like in the public restroom) and it’s staying there all the time. The elevator was broken for the whole time we stayed there and with no further action in the future. The rooms are ok, if you are getting what you booked for( we booked two beds but got one bed and then had to move 2 times). The maintenance of the bathroom leak made us to move for the second time in a week stay. The only good words can be said about the cleaning lady on the 6 th floor unfortunately don’t know her name. So, don’t be deceived by 4 stars and beautiful beach pictures as well as the state of the hotel shabby carpet and overcrowded elevator. ( no wonder when the only one is working) and, to add up to all the pleasantries, the breakfast is $41, which is extremely overpriced.

Building is outdated but the lobby, room itself, and gym were nice. We got to our room and it smelled like cigarettes so we decided called the front desk and had them change it. The receptionist said she was going to check on the next room to make sure it doesn’t smell and she was going to come find us. After an hour of waiting we finally went up to the front and asked if it’s ready to find out the receptionist was just hiding in the back. We get our key and go to the room to find out they gave us the same key to the original room! Finally after calling the desk AGAIN they came up and gave us a new key to the room next door and it was fine. Shower was kind of gross there was mold or algae on the drain stopper. Would not come back again but for the price it’s reasonable.

Chambre propre, sans balcon avec vue sur le plage Junkanoo. Personnel très courtois. Ma seule déception concerne le fait qu'il n'y a pas de chaise longue sur la plage tel qu'indiqué dans la description pour les clients de l'hôtel. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est très bien.

Ordering food outside took upwards of 2 hours when nobody else was outside eating. Bathroom door in our bedroom wouldn’t close. No bath towels on arrival. No conditioner on arrival. Mop on top of the ceiling blocking some hole. Wish I didn’t pay $250 to stay here as 2 hours in itself was waiting on horrible service.

The staff are absolutely awesome. They’ll help with anything you ask him. The room was very clean. Everybody told me their name. I’m not good with names, but they always spoke when you walked by hey Alyson, how are you? They all remembered my name. I’m going back again in 2 1/2 three weeks staying there again that’ll be my third time there one time. I was there the first time I was there. They took care of me as I broke out with major poison ivy, I picked up the poison from it here in Ohio as soon as I got down there, I broke out in that heat, and they definitely took care of me. I’ve told many many many people when they go there and they fly to Nassau. Please stay there because it is a beautiful, beautiful establishment and the employees are wonderful. I have not eaten there by choice very picky eater but I’ve heard the food is very good. The bartenders are very nice. I’ve had some drinks there. I heard the chef is awesome. Just downright great desert.

The Good: Location: Fantastic spot, especially if it's your first time in the Bahamas. Cleanliness: Housekeeping was on point. Service Recovery: We had a major issue at check-in (Expedia sync error), but the receptionist handled it well and gave us a $70 voucher. The "Need to Know": Food: Order early! Kitchen service is slow (45 mins to an hour). Amenities: Our room wasn't fully restocked with toiletries when we arrived (likely due to the rush), but they fixed it immediately. Vibe: The property is a bit dated, but it works well for a base of operations. Perfect for our spontaneous weekend trip from Toronto!
