「I know someone new bought the Inn on Ferry St, but that doesn't excuse the extremely dusty condition of my room, or the lack of any type of window shade to block the sun out. I've stayed at the Inn several times before COVID, and this new owner may want to restore some of the amenities that made staying at the Inn feel more home-like with breakfast for example. I checked in when it was raining and the clerk didn't offer any assistance on getting to my room that was outside and two buildings...

「There's so much to like about the place, starting right at check-in, which was brief. As we were ready to go upstairs we were offered a bottle of water, or a glass of champagne. Champagne, of course! Nice touch. Walking into the room was a delight. There were seven big, clean windows with shades controlled by switches on the wall. So cool. 「Booked through Expedia obviously. The hotel took the portion that was supposed to be taken from Expedia taken from my credit card used for incidentals at check in. Still trying to get ahold of element hotel to get my money back. So basically paid for hotel twice.」

「Detroit is full of beautiful old buildings and this is a great one, run by the same woman who worked on its renovation. I stayed in the Dahlia room, which has a jacuzzi and lovely fireplace. The bed was extremely comfortable. Morning coffee is served in a gorgeous parlor and solarium, and the proprietors are very attentive and helpful. 」
