"Alltogether a great experience - but a bit noisy from the road outside in the early mornings. But I guess that’s what you get when staying in the city centre. "We stayed at this hotel when extensive renovations were ongoing (something that neither the hotel or Expedia advertised!); it was so noisy when we arrived at 5:30pm that we could not hear the reception staff properly. We were advised that the builders would stop at 6:00pm and recommence at 8:00am the next morning (however the work continued that evening until just past 7:00pm) we were offered an alternative room but this seemed less spacious due to the layout and it wouldn’t have made a significant difference with the noise issue. The room was modern, clean and had a fabulous view, tea and coffee facilities in the room was a welcome touch.It was well situated close to Tromso town with plenty of shops & restaurants. Breakfast was fine. We could only think that perhaps an addition of a safe in the room would be a helpful feature- and of course being upfront with customers with bookings already made and those looking to book about possible disruption with noise."
