"Helpful host who waited for us outside the house with umbrellas as it was training. Very nice bathtub with lower back and shoudler massage features. Well equipped kitchen with spices and coffee. "

"We had a very nice time on our stay at this small quiet hotel. We had the Shikibu room and appreciated the spaciousness. It had an outdoor garden view as well as a separate private small outdoor onsen. The onsen looks tiny on first impression but it was nice and we enjoyed the outside seating area too. The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice, and definitely get the breakfast. Amazing breakfast! The staff were friendly and very helpful with transportation back to the train station....

"Pros:
Amazing view from the cabin.
Service is excellent throughout from check in to check out. Attention to details is great; they remember our room number and daily reservation.
Cabin size is on the small side but understandable due to the “glamping” experience it tries to emulate.
Speaking of experience, the sweet treats and bonfire night are great. We wished we could have joined more activities.
Cons:
Food options are a bit limited. For breakfast, you only have two options. So if you’re staying for longer than two days, you would have to repeat your choices. À la cart dinner has more options. Having said that, however, the food here is great too. "
"Best location possible. This hotel is a perfect time capsule. Everything is so charming and the service is spectacular. Onsen had amazing Mt Fuji views plus there is option for hot bath, cold bath, and sauna. Hotel next door did not have that. Breakfast is so delicious, you have to take part. I'm so so happy I stayed here and hope to stay again soon. "
"The whole ryokan experience was great with only 2 things that needs to be improved. First being the in-room dinner service: the staff didn't mention that meal was being served as courses and we thought the initial portion served was the entire thing. The rice was missing so I had to check with the reception on this. It was confusing on both ends as receptionist mentioned that the staff would have informed us that dinner is served 3 courses but we were not aware.
Food was great and delicious but do not expect to take your own sweet time to eat. Staff will clear it within 1 hour even if you have not finished eating.
Second thing was that the bidet was not working! Receptionist was informed twice and they said they will check it out but nothing was fixed.. was honestly really disappointed in this.
The payable private onsen wasn't anything spectacular, not worth the JPY 3,300 IMHO.
