"I always stay at Ala Moana hotel. Because l like everything about the hotel. The service, staff, housekeeping. Everything is top tier quality. I would recommend anyone who is planning to go to Hawaii, should stay at Ala Moana hotel not becyi say so but because everything is here. It’s centralized. You’ve got ur hotel, then there’s the beach and u have the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Also there’s restaurants in the vicinity. So to sum it up it’s a perfect location."

"We really enjoyed staying here. The Ramen place in the building is fabulous- we ate here a lot. The rooms are nice and the shops, aesthetically pleasing. Check in was good. The pool is not what is expected, there are no chairs available and there were so many kids running around, I witnessed a few throwing things at birds, the hot tub had over 12 kids at one time in it, so no room for everyone. The pool was similar. They should’ve thought this better. The Swell bar is great, decent staff, food and bartenders all great. The towel staff is not the nicest. Everytime I asked for a towel (4days), it felt like an inquisition. Literally had to tell them my room number, show them my key and they would call my room and ask for my identity. All for a towel and if you’re going to the beach, forget it… they send you to the concierge. Really confusing. Then, one morning an alarm went off at about 6am, followed by people on the intercom telling us it was a false alarm over and over. Remember the early morning was pretty tiring. The elevators were messy. Someone got stuck in the elevators and they were down to one. The line to get to your room via elevator took 10-20 mins. This was also challenging going anywhere from your floor."

"I stayed at Central YMCA Residences while transitioning into my new apartment and beginning a new chapter of my life here in Hawaii. From the very beginning, the staff made me feel welcomed and helped turn a big life change into a much easier experience. I especially want to recognize Christine. Every once in a while you meet someone who leaves an impression on you, and Christine was definitely that person for me. She was always kind, helpful, genuine, and had a way of making every interaction feel easy and comfortable. Not only is she amazing at what she does, she is gorgeous, so much so it is hard not to notice. Some people just naturally brighten your day, and Christine did exactly that. Thank you Christine, and thank you to everyone at Central YMCA Residences for making my first days in Hawaii something I’ll always remember."

"Went on our honeymoon in July 2026, before the 4th. Tucked away from most major traffic, not too far from Ala Moana Mall or the beach. Bus stop for the W-line to airport directly outside was very convenient - skip the car rental and rely on the bus if you can spare the time. No issues with mold or smells, lots of provided shampoo/conditioner/body soap, just a good clean room to collapse in. McDonalds, ABC convenience store, and multiple restaurants all on the same block. Would recommend as a base of operations for your Waikiki travels."

"It was an amazing experience, for staying at the Holiday Inn for the first time in Hawaii, it was a blast. Room was nice and cool, including free great delicious breakfast!! And close to stores and 6 min walk from the Beaches!!! Stag was great and very efficient to getting your room and they also hold my luggage while I waited to check-in time."
