Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. There were activities for guests to participate in, I went to a Lei making group and it was so fun. Also the food at The hideout, the restaurant in the hotel, was delicious! I’d book my stay at The Laylow again :)

Fast responsive and kind staff. Hakim in event reservations was the BEST, and Daniel behind the bar. Wonderful staff, just didn’t like the unexpected up charge for being at a “resort”. Not a resort.

Laylow is located very close to Waikiki beach and Royal Hawaiian shopping area. That is a main selling point of this property and the reason we chose it. For first time visit to Honolulu this was a perfect location as we could do a lot nearby. Diamond head is about 20-25 mins drive from here, other popular destinations like Bishops museum was accessible through an easy bus ride from here. Shopping, food, beach everything was right there once you come down from the hotel. Now the hotel itself is a small but well-maintained property, they have a cafe and restaurant near the front desk area. With some good breakfast and food options, and evening live music and DJ for entertainment. The main drawback for our family was the pool which is quite small and not that welcoming. The rooms also were not that spacious, with outdated bathrooms and fixtures. If you are looking for a luxurious stay, you will be disappointed. The photos and selling point of the property as an Autograph Mariott stay is definitely overselling what is actually offered. They need to update their website description and focus on their strengths which is the best location and good staff.
