AERA - Aurora Glass Cabins
AERA - Aurora Glass CabinsTromsø
10/10 Excellent
Aera was super nice and we got to see the Aurora Borealis. The room is very tiny but you have all you need. Make sure to bring the bare minimum you need! The glass view is awesome. Waking up to that amazing view is priceless! Can park your car right next to the cabin. The dining option is limited and the food was nothing spectacular but the breakfast got delivered just as requested inside a picnic basket. It was a special/ memorable occasion!

We had a great stay overall. The check-in was the easiest and quickest we have experienced in quite some time. There was free coffee / tea available by the reception all day, a very nice touch in the cold. The sauna in the central building is spacious and convenient. We also had a private sauna in the beach house we stayed in - this was an amazing surprise (should be called out in the room's details!). In terms of location, both Sommaroy island and the hotel are great - to enjoy the scenery and...

Very nice area everything is walking distance. 3 adults in the room but it was spacious and the kitchen came handy. Most comfortable sofa bed I ever tried. My flight didn't leave until 3pm, it was nice to have a place to leave my bags.

Accommodations excellent, 2 comfortable bedrooms, one bathroom, living dining area with a kitchenette: fridge, dishwasher, cooktop, no microwave. We had a washing machine too.
We were a family of 9 and had 3 rooms (better called apartments) and they were very comfortable indeed.
Staff went out of their way to help us when ordering food upon our arrival.
Breakfast was included at the hotel and it was amazing.
We all loved our stay. Highly recommend it.

EVERYTHING in Norway is expensive. No, shut up, you know I'm right--EVERYTHING is expensive, and when you're visiting Norway's largest city above the Arctic Circle, let's face it--you're not coming all the way up here to sit in your hotel room all day. No, you want to maximize your spending power and save the NOKs for dogsledding and Northern Lights hunting.
The Thon Tromsø is located one block from the main promenade in downtown Tromsø, close to the city bus lines and only a short walk from...
