Double charged! DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL! I booked & prepaid through Expedia. When checking in, the guy said to insert my card. I have stayed at other hotels through Expedia, all wanted a card on file in the event of damages. No biggie. As soon as I tapped my card, I noticed it was actually running my card for the amount of my stay! The guy never said what the card was for, I was the one who assumed for possible damages. When I confront the guy, he is dumbfounded, says well we charged you less than Expedia did. When I continued to object, obviously he knew how much I had already paid since he mentioned it, he said there was nothing he could do and his manager would be in the next morning. Next day, I spoke to Caroline(a) & she was very nice saying how sorry she was & she deleted the transaction from my card. She claimed it was pending but would fall off before I checked out. I spoke with her again before I left the hotel, she claimed the card was not showing on my reservation so I should be good. Further claiming that she could not provide an invoice to confirm this, since I booked through Expedia. The charge did fall off the day after I left, all good, right?! WRONG the very next day, (2 days after checkout), the charge was there again, not pending but posted!! Since I agreed to non refundable reservation through Expedia, they couldn’t help with the additional charge & couldn’t cancel theirs. I had to dispute through my credit card and am still awaiting the return of $700.
