「A really beautiful and very pleasant stay. The location was ideal with everything we could ever need within walking distance. I really appreciated the communication before our arrival, to see if there were anything we needed and to make sure we had everything prior to check-in, we really felt well looked after throughout. 「A lovely hotel, it doesn't look like much from the outside but the room we were in was very nice, high ceilings, a view of the water and the main pier from the bed, furniture in a pleasant classic style complemented the room. The bathroom was standard and clean. In the evening it was lovely to sit in the armchairs with a view. I highly recommend it.」

「We stopped from 7th July to 11th July this year 2025. We had a lovely break in the Durley Dean, its clean and tidy and the staff are first class, very friendly. Ok its dated but its Victorian. The bus stops are 200 yards away from the hotel entrance in the direction of Bournemouth and the buses are frequent to lots of local towns and resorts. We were out every day going to somewhere. Swanage, Poole, Westbourne and Christchurch. We would go again. Thank you Durley Dean」

「Das Hotel lag nicht weit weg von einem sehr schönen Strand. Die Bushaltestelle vor der Tür eignet sich perfekt für Ausflüge. In direkter Umgebung gibt es auch außerhalb des Hotels gutes Essen und einen kleinen Supermarkt. Der Service war super und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt als Familie. Auch der Hauseigene Pool war super um Abends noch ein wenig zu entspannen」

「Great hotel. Have been coming for years for an annual birthday night out with a group of friends. Guy at reception was very friendly, especially as we were concerned we may not be able to park there as no space, but did manage to in the end. Hotel is great...not the most modern, no, but homely and rooms have always been spacious, clean and welcoming. The bar/club is great for a night out. Would definitely recommend. Very close to town centre and beach too. Well done Royal Exeter!」

「A very comfortable small room but adequate. Very nice breakfast and staff are truly amazing. Excellent location and neighbouring eateries. Major drawback is parking adjacent car park poorly maintained and not secure but very cheap £7 for 24 hours. BiC £22.50 for same period.」
