It's such a nice place in such a charming area. Their thatched roof looks so very cool. Their staff is just excellent, they all take pride in doing an excellent job. I met the sous chef twice, she and her husband (the chef) make a great team. They have a lovely old bar and I took two friends there for the Sunday roast dinner. They have a good sized parking lot. You won't be at all disappointed.

It's a lovely old place and very well maintained. The bed so cery comfortable. And a lovely old oub with a true Thomas Hardy room. He had his own table there! I had a beautiful breakfast. I return there in another week or so for another night and will take my friends there for dinner, the menu looks delicious. I'm so pleased to have stayed there and meeying their lovely staff.

Bed base was wooden and mattress was smaller so we kept bashing our feet , not pleasant. Shower was extremely inefficient as there were two outputs so water went literally everywhere.

The hotel staff were friendly and parking plentiful. Hotel clean in communal areas and typical countryside pub. However the room was extremely noisy! Rooms face onto a very busy road, with frequent and regular HGVs using this fast part of the road, literally meant one of the worst nights sleep we’ve had. Also, the bath was surrounded by mould which would have made for a very unpleasant experience should there not have been a shower. Rooms were spacious however, and food ‘okay’ but I won’t be back.
