"Had a very nice stay at our hotel. Marina and Amos were very helpful in planning some things to see while we were there and were very well mannered. Highly recommend this hotel"

Apex Waterloo Place Hotel

"Though we only stayed one night the Apex Waterloo was a delight. We arrived in the early afternoon, way before check-in but we were upgraded to a two story accommodation that was available immediately (for which we were grateful after a long flight)! We were surprised to find air conditioning. Most hotels in Scotland do not have it and the summer days can get quite warm. The hotel location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. We enjoyed cocktails in the lounge after our day of sightseeing and breakfast was wonderful. The hotel stored our luggage while we toured the castle and unfortunately, we did not have time to enjoy the pool or spa but we will definitely return! Thank you!"

"This location was great! Close to Waverly Station, Old town, New Town. Great breakfast, Breakfast Staff, very helpful/friendly. Had a special request made to front desk that was taken care of promptly. Did not have drinks but bar was very well stocked. Would definitely stay again if back to Edinburgh."

"We were in a private superior double bed room on the fourth floor for five days. Unfortunately, the elevator only went to the third floor, but staff were very helpful getting our luggage to the room. The room is kinda small for two people with a lot of luggage. The bathroom shower was awesome! There was limited housekeeping and had to be requested. Clean towels and coffee pods ran out after the third day but after requesting more, they were delivered. The bar and dining area were nice. The menu was limited, but there are so many wonderful restaurants nearby to satisfy dining expectations! Bella Italia was a wonderful option."

"Beautiful hotel in an extremely convenient location to the train station (Waverly) and to the main downtown area. Top floor check in and champagne bar was also very beautiful and it is a nice touch to get a free glass of champagne (or non-alc bev) when you check in, and there were a lot of free drinks and snacks in the room. Only downside is that in the evening, we had significant trouble with slow wifi that made it very difficult to stream movies/shows."
