We had a fabulous stay at this hotel, after quite a few stairs up to the property (there is step free access just Google ahead). Front desk staff were very friendly, the hotel smells amazing. We had a great view of the city and appreciated the kitchen area. Couldn't figure out how to put the shower or taps on so we had a little bit of help with this (twist and twist some more) but everything was perfect the location was great and we got a lovely Sunday lunch close to the hotel at Lookenbooths (great cocktails there too).

Great location. Odd position of room, first floor on a steep hillside, small windows; room is dark, feels like a dungeon. Receptionist staff checking us in was pretty much the opposite of everything the word “hospitality” embodies.

Great location and overall the property was ok but the room itself only had one window in the bedroom which meant when the door was closed the lounge/kitchen/2nd sleeping area had no natural light. There were flies in the secondary glazing and the general finish of the room wasn’t high end. Overall though these are small details but they do mount up. However the location and service we very good

Everyone was extremely polite, professional and friendly whether it was early in the morning or late at night. The location is amazing and so close to many key historical sites as well as shopping and great places to eat at. Would definitely stay there again!

Great! Excellent customer service! Easy access to many great sight seeing destinations. Would stayed here again and recommend it to friends and family! We are older and wished we had gone to the castle and other great attractions early in the morning. By the afternoon we had walked so much we were too tried to keep our afternoon appointment to go to the castle. Also we used taxis but within a few days we started finding buses that ran in the area. I recommend learning the bus schedule as it could save you considerable money. Every where we went the locals were so warm and friendly. We have been to 38 countries and Scotland would be at the top of our list. We look forward to going there again! We definitely recommend Fraser suites!

The stairs for senior citizens to climb up and down daily was the bad deal. The nice thing was close to the Royal Mile. The beds were very uncomfortable. Nice big bathroom and warm in the room.
