Firstly, not quite an 'Airport' hotel when it takes 10 mins by car along a dual carriage way, I had expected to walk there from arrivals.
There is only a tiny soap bar in the room, no shampoo or shower gel.
We paid for the breakfast only to find there were no scrambled eggs left & 3 sorry looking sausages, the bread was stale and I had to ask the staff for cups then plates.
There was dirty plates & cups on most of the tables, which were still there when we left, dissapointing, there seemed to be a zero care factor.

Fair hotel
Couch in room had a few stains on, pillows were a bit flat, however we did get extra when asked for. Room was ver hot with only a heater in room, luckily it was a cool night. This hotel is good transit hotel. Good value if you get the special rate
In general the Travelodge was well priced and a decent place to say. However, it is difficult to get to from the airport to the hotel as you must take a taxi or ask for advice on finding a bus. There is a shuttle from the hotel to the airport though.

Parents with infants or young children be warned
We had a terrible experience trying to eat in the cafe/restaurant. The manager refused to heat our 9 month old's baby food and also refused to provide warm water to bring it to room temperature. He insisted that under the circumstances the baby should eat cold food. He also claimed that "all Travelodge customers with young children knew that Travelodge as a policy would not heat baby food". How parents (like ourselves) would know this without being told before hand was a mystery to us. Certainly this policy is not publically stated on Travelodge websites or in their restaurants/cafes (now signs were in evidence). As a way out of the empass we offered to sign a legal disclaimer indicating we wouldn't sue if our baby got food poisoning if they heated the food; a compromise he refused to agree to. We have travelled nationally and internationally many times with our child and never received such shabby treatment. The manager was aggressive, surly and patronising; certainly not the kind of person one would expect in a customer-facing profession.

avoid room 1 but otherwise ok for location, price
I was traveling with a friend and the cheapest option for separate beds was a family room which consisted of a bed and a sofa that could be converted to a sleeping space. The sofa was quite dirty but the sheets were more than large enough to immediately cover the sofa before I even sat on it. The rest of the room and the bathroom were clean enough. The other drawback to the room was one accessible outlet in which to plug in a hair dryer or other appliance. The room's heater was plugged into that outlet but thankfully it was not needed. The last thing to comment on was room 1. Whenever the person in the room above walked around, the windows rattled loudly. The rattling got louder the closer the person got to the window. We didn't know if it had to do with who was in the room and the second night we saw a young, thin woman being given the room. The noise was just as bad, and it was so loud it woke me from sleep. When we stayed on another floor 5 days before, there was no window rattling.
