The location was excellent — tram, bus, and train access was very convenient, and the city bus tour stop was also nearby. Many key attractions, like the Castle and the old market area, were within walking distance. However, the washroom, especially the shower area, could be improved. There were exposed hot pipes, which felt unsafe. Aside from that, the staff were friendly and everything else was good.

Staff at the front desk is very nice, Sri offered us room upgrade to king bed with Castle view after we signed up for ASR rewards. Rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are clean. Breakfast buffet is really good with a variety of options and the staff is friendly. Overall we enjoyed staying 2 nights, the area is nice, walkable to bus stops, restaurants and the old town.

Room was ok, small. Beds very uncomfortable. In a busy part of town so noise from outside and floors above well into the night. Staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet is pretty good. Is close to public transport.

Tiny room for the price. Air con with no instructions on how to use it (figured out on the way out that the red sticker on top was supposed to represent the on button). No drinking water, just basic tea stuff, not even any biscuits or alternatives. Paint on the bathroom handles and lock make it look like it's just been slapped on in a rush and they couldn't be bothered to mask it off first. But that said the staff were very nice and welcoming.

Post renovations, I imagine this property will be amazing, but at this time there is major construction going on, so it is LOUD from ~7 am thru late afternoon. All staff were kind, courteous and quickly responsive.

Very convenient to transportation 7 minute walk from train station & bus to airport across the road. I had a standard room which was only lacking a fridge no where to chill bottles of water etc and a problem with the ac I had a fan for the first night then problem fixed for thr rest of my stay. ( thank ypu! The staff werr all amazing, friendly and professional...

Comfortable and well maintained property close to the rail station. Very walkable to the Royal Mile. Nice and helpful hotel staff. The rate seemed a little high but it is a very good overall value during the high travel season. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a lot of options and very good quality. The hotel does a good job in regulating the number of people at breakfast. We discovered that that is important in Edinburgh because the quality of the offerings there could attract a lot of non-Hotel guests. Hotel guests are required to make reservations for breakfast, which is easily done at check-in.
