「No food options, but was a room with microwave in you could heat some food in. Didnt bother me as we ate out anyway. Bed was very comfortable. We came back to the apartment at around 9pm. 「Unfortunately we didn't stay the night, we had to leave due to family circumstances. We had a lovely welcome at reception. The gentleman on duty was really helpful and supportive. The room was excellent, as was the view. Everything in the hotel was fresh and clean. 」

「Based on the fact that this is a budget hotel, the staff are amazing - endlessly helpful and patient with guests. We arrived when all the systems had gone down and the poor reception lady was being pulled in every which way - but she was still so polite, smiling and helpful. 」

「Perfect location, looking directly across the Taff at the stadium. Only 10 minute walk to Mary Street. Very clean and the keybox entry makes checking in/out a breeze. Shared bathrooms between floors are immaculately clean also. 」

「Loved welcome to the hotel. Room was nice and the bed was very comfy. The views and grounds were beautiful. Breakfast there was plenty to choose from.」

「I'm in a wheelchair so requested an accessible room. One of the best/most accessible rooms i've stayed in. There is a big wide ramp out front with plenty of disabled parking. 「I stay at the Glendale regularly to visit my daughter and granddaughter who live nearby. It is a lovely hotel above an Italian restaurant with very convenient access to Penarth train station with regular trains into nearby Cardiff. 「The location is impeccable but being in the city centre it can be quite noisy at night because of all the bars & clubs downstairs. The triple room is on the 4th floor so noise wise it's tolerable for just one night but be prepared to lift your luggages up the 100-step stairs. The room is better than expected, really clean & tidy. One down side is this hotel doesn't have its own reception so have to check in at the hotel across the road instead.」

「Delicious breakfast - both buffet style and with a few other dishes you can order off a small menu. Room was super clean and the shower was fantastic! Definitely recommend this if you are visiting Cardiff - it’s 5 minutes away from the castle and 5 minutes to the train that can take you down to the bay.
