"Great location. Lakeview room had a perfect view of the Mackinac Bridge. Room was very clean. Staff was friendly. The building was decorated for the season. Pool was clean. Hot tub worked. Continental breakfast was sufficient- offered hard boiled eggs, egg muffins, cold cereal, fruit, oatmeal, bagels, donuts, waffles, juice & coffee. Would definitely stay again."

"We stayed at Wayside the night before we were catching a ferry to Mackinac Island. The rooms were completely remodeled - new paint, carpet, bathrooms, etc. Very clean and comfortable stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful - they called to let us know about an item we left in the room and called the ferry shuttle to pick us up. Overall great stay and service! "

"Everything was quality. Cleanliness, updated rooms, service. There was a golf cart driver to run you up for breakfast. It was close to the lake AND close to the dock to Mackinaw, a block or two and very walkable. You could even walk to downtown if you'd like. Of curse, right on the lake with a huge hotel shoreline. Buy some lunch and use a picnic table to take it all in. "
