"Just be aware there was no prior indication but If you choose a room or suite with a balcony overlooking the lake, be prepared to hear all the ferries honking their loud “fog horns” every 30 minutes throughout the day. They do stop at 9:00. But quite annoying And very tiny rooms. Not was There a lobby or bar in the hotel on lake side. They have a second hotel on other side of street. With small lobby and a bar just next door."

"Staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The room had antique decor which is consistent with the island. Location was in the middle of the Main Street and easy to find, enter/exit. Bathroom/shower was clean and without issue."
Best Western Harbour Pointe Lakefront

"More or less average rooms. Partial Lakeview was the joke I half expected. If i stood behind a chair and leaned above the a/c, I could see some lake between some trees and buildings. High points were a nightly bonfire with smore makings down by the beach with clear views of the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island in the distance, and indoor and outdoor hot tubs and pools. Breakfast also the average fare, but nice view from breakfast room as well. All in all, a good location and a pleasant stay."

The Inn At Stonecliffe

"Stone Cliff is about a half hour walk or carriage ride away from downtown Mackinac. It is a stunning property will great views of the Mackinac Straits and Lake Huron. Sunset Rock is also located on the property. Great place to go to catch a sunset. (If the weather is nice) The property is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very kind and helpful. The room we stayed in had recently been renovated new and was great. Had two balconies, both with water views. Rooms are cleaned and serviced daily. It is a 5 star hotel so it's pricey to stay there. But, you'll pay a price to stay anywhere on Mackinac Island. Only thing I have to critique is that dinner service was very slow. However, breakfast service was perfect. No complaints. All in all, we would definitely consider staying at Stone Cliff again. Hopefully, the weather will be nicer next time so we can actually catch a sunset and use the pools."

"Well maintained inside and out. Wonderful lake view with like-new patio chairs on our balcony. Very much appreciated the friendly, helpful and professional staff. Delicious breakfast. We liked the outdoor dining space so much with the beautiful lake view and firepit that we stayed for dinner. We will definitely be back!"

"Such a great hotel. We had never been to Mackinac before and really loved this hotel and the location. There is a bike rental right out front, so you can easily rent a bike and ride around the island. It was really close to all the other things we wanted to do on the island. We enjoyed the hot tub too. That was nice after a long day of walking around. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely come back!"
