Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront Mackinaw City

"Overall we had a great stay! The beach is wonderful, great location close to downtown shops and restaurants, and nice hot breakfast buffet. The downside was our room always felt wet, and the curtains seemed to be gathering some mildew/mold from the moisture. Our tub would not stop up to allow for a bath for my son. Otherwise, nice spot and good value for the $$."

"Stayed with the wife for our anniversary and we’re both glad we’ve chose this one. Clean and comfortable. They also had fireworks on a Saturday that we were there. Would definitely stay there again if in town."

"Room was clean but beware that 4th floor rooms have no elevator and dormer rooms have a sloping ceiling and not much space. Cute rooms and terrific soap/shampoo/lotion. Lobby is well decorated but no coffee or water service and hard to find busy staff. Coffee in room is good but only dry stir ins. Only 4 hangers for very tight hanging space but room in dresser and night stands to put away things. We used the space under coffee table for one suitcase. Nice to have a small sofa for sitting and not just bed. Bed was comfortable but jiggled a lot every time one of us turned over. Chairs on grass and porch are so nice and grounds are beautiful. ICE house restaurant in back is good with very nice staff and lovely patio for outside dining. Next time I would stay at one of the boutique hotels instead."

"Upon arrival, staff arranged for luggage sent to wrong hotel from ferry with no fuss. Staff explained about hotel and gave pointers on the local area. Breakfast each morning was fresh and appropriate for the day (the coffee was especially good). Balcony was clean and very well maintained. Throughout the stay, can't say enough about entire staff and their helpfulness. Special mention of Sally and person who went and retrieved luggage from another hotel!"

Cabins of Mackinaw

"Our cabin was wonderful. For the most part the room was in good repair, but overall the property needs a little TLC as a whole. Our housekeeper, Trev, made sure the room was clean, and the front desk was helpful in providing recommendations for restaurants and getting to the ferry. Parking was a bit interesting in front of the cabins. Would stay here again, especially with kids (they enjoyed the floorplan)."
