It was Labor Day and the bridge was closed in the morning so people could take the five mile hike from the upper to the lower peninsula or vice versa.

Shepler Ferry Service has special ferry that will take you under and around the bridge before you they take you to the island. I believe it is the 10am run.

Must See The Big Spring in UP!!!  It’s about 1 1/2 hours from the Bridge!!!!!!!

We crossed it around 9 (sunrise at 7:48). It was overcast and it looked amazing to drive through. With sunlight (especially sunrise) it’d be more amazing, hopefully.
