"Not the best area, but not terrible for the price, and the pool and hot tub are open until 10pm which is nice. Seemed like a lot of "street business" was being conducted around the property and of course the usual fighting/screaming couples was ever present. Also, the sink in the bathroom was clogged and wouldn't drain properly due to who knows what was dumped down it previously, so I had to clear that myself which was a little disgusting"
Riverside Inn & Suites Santa Cruz

"Staff was amazing. Love the fact that they have 2 bed rooms with 3 queen beds! My kids had their own bed and we had our own room. Full bath tub with shower the kids loved. Also what topped all off was that it had a stove! Minus the oven, but we were able to cook meals just like home. Also had microwave and full fridge! It is across the street from skate/basketball park and a very short walk to the Boardwalk/beach! We were able to leave the boardwalk, rest, eat, and walk back to enjoy a few more rides and walk the beach. It’s also located near plenty of stores and restaurants. This is now my new home when I visit Santa Cruz! Oh and it’s small ( not a lot of rooms), single level and you can park right outside your door!!! Trust me you won’t regret booking if you are just looking for something homely, affordable, and close to EVERYTHING!"

"Breakfast was basic. I dont think Pets should be allowed. I dont want to see a pet peeing inside or outside. Pet dander. I have friends allergic to pet hair. They could never stay at Hyatt. Bottom of hot tub needs cleaning a few people were complaining about that. I agree. Should have happy hours (free) Wed-fri. Free chartuerrie or chips & salsa. Should NOT charge for parking."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Santa Cruz

"Staff and breakfast was great! I really was offended by the daily on premises parking fee of $25 per day. It was never clearly posted on any site. I would have paid for a higher reasonable room rate and had the parking as a amenity service like the advertised free morning breakfast."
