"April 2026 We stayed in the family suite and a queen bed room, both were spacious and nicely decorated. Staff were very helpful with storing our luggage and ensuring that gluten free options were available for breakfast. Good breakfast selection and perfect to get started on a busy day of sightseeing. Location is excellent for its proximity to Quinta da Regaleira ( short walk), central historical area, the tourism office, and the taxi stand area. We parked our rental car below by the train station and utilized uber and taxi to ride up and down with our luggage. It is a short walk from the central historic area to Sintra 1012 Boutique Guest House."

"The apartment was really nice. A lovely bedroom area with en suite and really nice conservatory with dining table and chairs. Unfortunately we did not expect the 'shared kitchen' to be right outside our door and consist of a fridge, microwave, toaster etc at the end of the corridor right outside our door. There is plenty of room in the conservatory room to have a small kitchen area. Also there is a dreadful drain smell coming from the bathroom. We managed to alleviate it enough to live with it by leaving the sink plug in and blocking the overflow. We couldnt access Netflix or YouTube on the T.V."

"The hotel was very conveniently located close to the castles. It was a bit run down older property, but the room was spacious and the shower was hot with excellent water pressure. One thing though was the smell of artificial air freshener was overwhelming, but I assumed it was covering up another worse smell. Staff were professional and courteous, and breakfast was perfectly adequate."

"Our stay at Rosegarden was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip across Portugal. The unique and colorful design aesthetic is what initially drew me in, and this did not disappoint in person. All the spaces were beautiful without being gaudy, and clearly much thought went into the style. Everything else was simply icing on the cake. Staff were kind and attentive, the breakfast complete, fresh, and delicious, the rooms exceptionally clean, superbly comfortable, and quiet. Just how quiet? During our time in Sintra there was an impressive two-day-long windstorm passing through. The noise outside was constant and significant. However, the windows in our room were so solid that it was essentially silent inside. We would open the windows to the roaring wind for a few moments for fresh air, then close them and it was as if we were sealed in a soundproof chamber. This and everything else contributed to some of the best sleep I think I've ever had on a vacation. We honestly did not want to leave. Thank you, Rosegarden, for being one of the most memorable accommodations we've ever had! I sincerely hope to return someday. Derek & JP. "
