Discover a diverse collection of specialty stores, arcades, amusements, restaurants and bars on this classic wooden boardwalk on Ocean City’s waterfront.

Whether you’re beginning your day with a scenic bike ride or ending it with a whirl on the pretty Ferris wheel, the Ocean City Boardwalk is the perfect place to experience the city’s magnificent waterfront. Stretching for 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) across Ocean City’s Atlantic foreshore, the Ocean City Boardwalk offers old-fashioned amusements and delights alongside modern restaurants and bars.

A great way to enjoy the waterfront without the crowds is to rent a bicycle and take a ride along the boardwalk in the morning. If you prefer a slower start to the day, take in views of the white-sand beaches over a hot coffee and begin your stroll along the scenic promenade. You can also sit back and enjoy the view from the convenient tram that runs along the length of the boardwalk.

Peruse the Ocean City Boardwalk shops. Pick up souvenir T-shirts and jewelry or treat yourself to a new hairstyle. Stop by the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum to learn the stories of the city’s coast guard. Buy a snack from one of the boardwalk vendors. Caramel popcorn, cotton candy, Maryland-style French fries and crab cakes are just some of the traditional favorites on offer at the boardwalk diners.

Try your luck on the arcade games in the boardwalk’s game booths and enjoy the boardwalk’s fun-filled amusements, such as the roller coaster or the Ferris wheel. Take a ride and watch the city light up as twilight falls.

Experience Ocean City’s local food and drink scene at one of the restaurants that line the boardwalk. The city’s first brewery is located here, as well as several atmospheric bars. Attend free music concerts, cinema screenings and family activities most nights of the week during summer at Ocean City Beach.

Ocean City Boardwalk is located on Ocean City’s stunning downtown waterfront. The boardwalk is free to visit, but some attractions and events may have admission costs. The boardwalk is open year-round. Enjoy gorgeous waterfront views from your hotel, motel or condominium on the boardwalk or stay nearby in downtown Ocean City.

The board walk was nice, but nothing spectacular.

Traffic has been horrible in this city for the last 40 years. Good luck finding a parking space anywhere, that does not charge you an unreasonable sum of money.

please keep in mind this place is about 25 minutes from the boardwalk you have to drive down and street parking is free or meter parking so it was not that bad.
