One of my favorite places to go for 40 years. More busy during the summer due to the influx of tourist. The late fall / early winter are less crowded and you can enjoy whale watching or the king tides.

Close to town, many state parks that are well maintained. Beautiful beaches and rocky cliffs. Be ready for a workout it is a walk to the beach over the dunes but oh, so worth it!

Mo's and south beach market are aways a great place to eat. Be prepared for a wait at each. The aquarium is also something to see. Lots of beach to walk and explore. You are in the middle of the Oregon coast, lots to explore north or south.

I personally like Newport better than Lincoln City. Newport has a far greater variety of things to do. We love walking the Bayfront. Stopping at the Sea Lion Docks is a must.

Go to Local Ocean Seafood and get the Brazilian stew, you can thank me later. ;-) All of their food was really good and stellar. And it's a really cute town to walk around in, down by the marina.
"Enjoyed how quiet the hotel was and their accommodations so we could be next door with our friends we were traveling with. The pool room was a bit muggy, but the kids enjoyed it. Love how close it was to the aquarium! Will definitely stay here again. "
"Peggy was really friendly! The room smell and was super clean! The view perfect! The only down side the stove top didn’t quite heat up enough but other than that it was amazing! Will definitely book with them again! "
