It's a college town, so expect that there are students walking and biking everywhere. This hotel is extremely convenient to any sports event on campus. For a great local breakfast, I recommend Interzone.

"Our room had a great view of the river, and the park. It was so handy to have access to events in and around the riverfront, the park, shopping, and was walkable to everything in Independence. Such a cute town. The service was top notch and the amenities were wonderful - hot tub, room, access, parking. We loved it!"
