「I read the mixed reviews and chose Macaw Guesthouse anyway - I am glad that I did. It was a reasonable option in expensive New York City and it was as described. Charming hosts who went out of their way to welcome me and ensure that I was comfortable. Short walk to transportation options and dining options nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again. 」

「Charming, cozy, and clean. I met the owner and he is very friendly and accommodating. They have everything you need. I work remote and was able set up at dining room table and drink coffee in the morning since no one else was there. Very peaceful!」

「Very clean and quiet, beautiful property, Central air, 24hour access to coffee/tea, microwave. 2 friendly outside cats. Beautiful dining/living are. Comfortable bed. Breakfast had fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal, and packaged bagels and muffins, all acceptable. 」

「Love the place. It with easy check-in and check procedures. Downstairs rooms were near the bar. It could be a little loud during operation (Only 5-10 Thursday through Sunday) but it is not open late. Mild nuisance, no issue. Everything was very clean and neat. Bed was comfortable. Chamber Commerce description is misleading, claiming it as a bed and breakfast, it is not and ownership are clear when booking. 「We enjoyed the convenience and walkability. Downtown Woodstock is about a 10 to 15 minute easy walk to shops and eateries. We stayed in the King Suite, a 2nd floor lodging that was clean, spacious and included pretty much all you need for a stay (games, books, kitchenette, toaster oven, pots, pans, hair dryer, mini fridge, plenty of blankets and towels). We had quick responses from the Ipad concierge and website chat for any questions. Thanks for a relaxing stay! 」

「At first it started off rocky. Thought I could check in at 3pm although I told them I would arrive around 5pm. That’s on me. Long story short 1st room I got was not serviced got the 2nd room real quick. Overall it gives you a college experience with the bathroom and showers outside the room. I enjoyed it. 」
