「Nice spacious and very clean room. Well facilitated with a tea tray and bottles of water. Room was immensely hot but thankfully able to open all the windows. Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. 「All staff were excellent, super friendly and helpful, I'd booked an attic room but seeing my husband on crutches they immediately swapped us into a first floor room which I think was an upgrade as it had a huge freestanding copper bath and Chesterfield sofa as well as a king (or maybe super king) sized bed. 「If you’re disabled or just an older guest beware the rooms have not been reviewed by an appropriate person. I found the bathroom a death trap. No grab rails in the shower but the worst was the slippery floor in the toilet with nothing to grab onto when struggling to arise from the toilet. My husband had to help me but not before on making an attempt my feet slipped and I finished up with a nasty fall and a now painful back. At 2am I had to ring reception I was frozen- the radiator didn’t work...

「Good parking for the area. Reception, restaurant and bar have had a referb but rooms are in need of complete referb. On arrival our bathroom had not been cleaned and in a bit of a state, ( not very happy 🤔) however we went to reception to complain, Stuart the receptionist was first class very polite and apologetic and found us another room. Good breakfast. Again I point out that the rooms are in need of a good overhaul.」

「Well situated. Hotel felt a bit dated but we got a good rate so I guess that reflects it. Staff were friendly but service a little slow and inefficient. We had two rooms for our family. My room was fine but the second room the shower didn’t drain and flooded the bathroom which was a nuisance. I slept perfectly well but it would have been nice to be able to change the temperature- the panel in my bedroom didn’t seem to work. Rooms were clean but looked like they could do with a refurb. 」
