"Rooms could do with a bit of a refresh but mine was perfectly clean and huge. Bed was really comfortable and temperature was comfortable…there was an additional heater if you needed it. Had a mini fridge which was good (ice machine in the corridor). Only odd thing was that there were no plug sockets anywhere around the bed(s) so had to leave phone charging over the other side of the room."

The parking was fantastic value - £5 for 24hrs and an easy walk to The Stadium of Light mainly along a pedestrian route.

"it was hard to find the right door on the street and then enter the code on the door as it was difficult to understand. the bed frame was very creaky and there was not even a lamp in the room. the bed was comfortable and the pillows were also soft. room had a good amount of plug sockets and a nice window on the roof. overall not too bad but improvements could be made "

"First time staying at this Hotel. It’s newly changed to Holiday Inn. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean but for a refurbished hotel the grout in the bathroom was missing in places. The air con unit is floor mounted and sounded like a tractor. This really needs sorted as had to turn off durning night due to noise."

We were warmly greeted by all staff during our stay including a pre arrival phone call the day before.
This property is in a great location for the city centre with parking at the rear for an additional cost.
