A very nice place in a very good position, I was given a very warm welcome when checking in and shown to my room. The hotel is clean and very well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending staying here if you are visiting the area.

Hidden gem

Brilliant find. Located right on the high street next to many bars & restaurant yet very quiet in the rooms. Lovely host who was very welcoming. Well appointed rooms and gorgeous breakfast taken in the tea room which is a hidden gem. Will definitely return

It was located on the main street of Tynemouth. We could see the sea at the end of the road. We were not disturbed by noise. There were lots of well rated cafes and restaurants. The owner was very friendly, available and helpful without at any point being intrusive. He went out of his way to make us feel at home and to provide what we needed. We were very pleased and would return if in the area.

Fabulous stay!

Fabulous stay, everything from the exceptional service, to the room, cleanliness, location and breakfast, we couldn't fault a thing! We stayed in The Collingwood room, the balcony has an amazing view, and the room had lots of lovely extra touches. We were celebrating my partners birthday, the team at Tynemouth 61 went above and beyond to make it extra special, bringing him a cupcake and a card at breakfast, the singing was fab too 😁 Thankyou so much, we will definately be back, look forward to seeing you all again soon. No better place to stay in Tynemouth

Staying at No61 is always a pleasure. Great position and a lovely building. Steve and all his staff are very welcoming and the breakfast is delicious.

Fantastic house in a great area spoiled for choice for restaurants nearby. room was spacious and very comfortable lovely view. Owner was very welcoming. Dining room was fabulous like being in Alice in wonderland. Food was lovely. No faults definitely looking forward to going back again.

Had a lovely one night's stay at Number 61 - Stephen was lovely and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The place is very easy to get to from the Metro Station - about a five minute's walk, and there are plenty of restaurants on the high street.

Fantastic location right in the centre of Tynemouth high street. Spoilt for choice of where to eat and drink and central location for amazing walks along the the north east coast. Even though on propriety of front street and I room on the front, the secondary glazing eliminated any noise.

Another brilliant stay at number 61

We have stayed here in Tynemouth a few times now because we love the area with its concentration of excellent restaurants, bars and chilled holiday atmosphere and because we love number 61. As always 10/10 for breakfast, cleanliness, hospitality and anything else I haven’t mentioned.
