"The Grand Hotel is the real deal. The history hits you the moment you walk in, the bones are beautiful, and the location delivers what it promises. If you want a property with genuine character and a real sense of place, this is it. That said, we had to cut our stay short. There was active construction going on that was never mentioned at booking, and finding out at check-in is not how a hotel at this level should operate. The staff, to their credit, handled it well and took care of a full refund without any hassle, which I appreciated. Worth noting on location: it’s great for soaking in what the hotel is all about, but if you want to step outside and be right in the middle of the city action, you might find yourself doing a bit more traveling than expected. Not a dealbreaker, just good to know going in. The reputation here is earned and I’d come back. Sort out the guest communication around construction and this is a five-star experience without question. For now, a strong four."

"Unless there is a compelling reason for me to choose another place of stay, Humble Boutique will continue to my go-to hotel when I visit Taiwan. Counter staff demonstrated great customer service, as usual. Good to know that quality did not decline as compared to the last time I visited. The hotel is just a minute away from Exit 2 of Sonjiang Nanjing Station, I have been very grateful for such close proximity. Last but not least, one of the reasons that will keep having me return to Humble is their indoor pool. As an avid swimmer, I am appreciative that I have an indoor pool for my almost-daily swim. Staff managing front counter of level 10 - professional and friendly."

"Such a safe and central location for us. We took tours that picked us up from the main station, went to night markets, and shopping which were all central to the hotel. Ubers were also very affordable to the airport. We exchanged currency at the front desk, staff were super helpful and kind. We arrived around 5 am, luggage storage was safe and easy to leave all our stuff and explore until check in at 3 PM. 7/11 is also walkable for an early morning or late snack. If we were back in Taiwan, would definitely stay here again!"
