"Overall, we were happy with our stay. However, despite having a booking for 2 adults and 2 children, we were treated as if the booking was for 3 persons only. We were even made to pay extra for breakfast for our youngest! Only 3 and cups towels in the room, etc. We never got the welcome drinks either!!! Left quite a bad impression upon arrival. Breakfast for forgettable and I'd wished for more European style options. On the positive side however, the location was fantastic, handy and close to everything including Taipei's transport network and Peace Memorial just around the corner. Plenty of restaurants and shops on the doorstep. What won our approval was the communal area in the lobby with a snack bar: excellent selection of various goodies replenished daily, including tasty noodle pots! A thing worth noting for tall travellers. If you're a tall person, look elsewhere as you'll struggle to navigate the extremely low ceilings!!! Im under 160cm and I could touch the ceiling without effort in most parts of the hotel!"
