"Wonderful stay at The Avista. It was convenient to have indoor and outdoor pools and Hot tubs. We used the outdoor and indoor hot tubs and frequented the poolside bars. Our unit was well maintained and clean. The grounds and outdoor amenities were clean. I would advise a refresh of the fitness center. There was also an indoor bar/lounge but it was really quiet. Great to be on the beach. Great location close to Main Street where dining and bars are. We went in early May."

"I chose the wrong room and was in the BW annex A room king bed. Ref microwave Smelled musty. Was told since I went through a third party they could not changed anything. They told me there were no ocean front or views available. Which was not true Didn’t eat breakfast cause it is in the main building. Not sure if I would stay there again. Could have got something cheaper across the street If you stay there make sure you don’t get stuck in the annex"

"Front desk staff was nice. Room seemed clean, bathroom was updated. Housekeeping opened the hotel door with their key after one knock, which was unsettling. Parking was easy and the bed was comfortable. "

"I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this hotel and ended up enjoying it way more than I expected. The location was one of the best parts — it’s way up in North Myrtle Beach, so you’re away from all the crowded, hectic tourist traffic and hustle of the main strip. The beach area felt quieter, more relaxed, and the views were fantastic. The property itself is a little dated, but everything seemed to be kept in pretty decent condition. The pool area was large and enjoyable, and while the hot tub smelled a little odd, it was hot and working fine. The real hidden gem was the outdoor cabana bar area behind the hotel. They had live music, cheap beer, bar food, and a really fun laid-back atmosphere right by the beach. The room completely exceeded expectations. We booked a suite and it was phenomenal — king bed, two bathrooms, separate living area, couch, two balconies/patio areas, and even an in-room jacuzzi tub in the living room. For the price, it felt like an incredible value. Overall, this ended up being one of the better Myrtle Beach stays I’ve had, especially for the money. Great location, relaxing atmosphere, and much better than expected. I’d absolutely stay here again."

"Stayed here for one night, checking in was fast. My room was clean and really nice. The hotel was quiet. The first floor had vending and it was reasonably priced. The breakfast was good as well."

"I live only one hour away from Little River but wanted to stay a few nights to do some fishing without having to make the drive every day, so being right across the street from the boat ramp was super convenient! The hotel was nice. I didn't have the breakfast and I didn't try the indoor pool so I can't speak on either of those. The bed was very comfortable with soft pillows. The 40' Samsung TV is on a movable mount. The shower has the wide curtain rods and good pressure with really hot water! The staff was super friendly! Parking with a 20ft boat was not an issue. I travel with a small dachshund so being pet friendly was ultimately the deciding factor on my choosing this hotel. I had 3 issues with my stay. The coffee maker still had the used coffee pouch from the last usage. Not that big a deal but I feel like housekeeping should check the coffee makers while cleaning the rooms. The shower had a few long hairs stuck to the wall so I'm assuming the shower wasn't cleaned properly. The ice machine on the first and second floors were not available so I had to make trips to other floors for ice. Also, if you're traveling with a trailer, the parking lot can be tight on some of the turns going around the building. Be aware. None of these issues will stop me from staying there again in the future, but I think that housekeeping should be a bit more thorough during the cleaning of the rooms and the ice machines should be properly maintained. "I had to wash comforter on master bed as the underside had vomit on it. I washed it so we would have a cover. Carpets could use a cleaning as well as the chairs in livingroom. They had food or something white around the top edges. It was peaceful and close to what we wanted. Outside chairs were a little dry rotted so be cautious, you may go thru one."
