"This was an amazing stay! It was very easy to check in, and the area was extremely walkable with the riverwalk. The only downside was the parking, but we decided to valet and it worked perfectly! Highly recommend."

"The room was clean but someone had dropped an orange behind one of the dressers, and it was in a state of decomposition. There was no ice bucket or cups in the room - not even paper cups. When I wanted to brush my teeth, I had to get a cup from the buffet area. The shampoo dispenser was not filled either so while the room was otherwise clean and comfortable, it had not been prepped well from the previous guest."

"The staff was amaxing. Fast Eddie made our stay feel special. He was so helpful and always offered a smile and a happy gesture. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bar was a great place to grabe a drink and listen to some music and even a Mariachi band that was fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel will stay there again if we ever return to the San Antonio Riverwalk. "

"I would like to share the email I sent to the guest service mgr. No resolution. No sympathy. Good morning Ms. Almendarez We were told to direct our grievances to you about our experience at the Hampton. My husband and I booked our reservation via Expedia for the a night (March 27). Check in was easy and smooth. We were assigned Room 623, it was clean and comfortable. However when we turned on TV we could not watch anything as it was offline. We called front desk around 12 am and was told that no one could help at that time. I then went for a shower and waited and turned knob different angles and no hot water. So we went to sleep pretty late and were rudely awaken to loud door knocking. It took us a moment to realize it and Room 623 is a suite so it took my husband a few moments to reach the door as we were undressed and my husband is on a cast and requires his knee scooter to walk. When he verbally acknowledged them, the staff member stated they were there about the TV issue. However when my husband reached the door the staff member was gone. We got dressed, headed to the front desk and explained to Kevin what happened, he seemed flustered and didn't know what to say or do. My husband asked if he was going to do anything about it and that was he handed him your business card. The comment below is what submitted to Expedia and wanted to also share it with you. I appreciate your time and attention to our experience at your hotel. "

"Emerson checked us in, and the King room that she gave us was that of MOTEL status. I booked wanting the River Walk experience, and was not accommodated as such! Nothing chaps my hide worse than attending a vacation being met with horrendous Hotel experience! We were eventually accommodated with another Room, which indicated that tge room was available in the beginning. The floor was dark brown in color, and the white towels being met with floor indicated how dirty the floor was. Although I love the antique feeling of the hotel, I will not book this location again! The service at breakfast was horrible as well, I ordered orange juice and the glass was chipped. I asked for a creamer and had to ask again. I’m disgusted by the treatment here. "
