I gave this place a try since it was located close to where I needed to be and the rate was good. The staff was very hospitable and the place was clean. The location may not be ideal for some but if you want to be North of the 10 fwy, mid-city can be a versatile area. Just do some research to make sure. Overall it's a good stay for the $.

Breakfast was just a single cup of instant noodles—no coffee, no tea, nothing else. The place itself is just an old, extremely crowded, and messy house located in a noisy and unsafe neighborhood. The building looked nothing like the photos. I really hope others don’t get misled by the pictures

It was very nice and no problems at all. It was all Asian residents and staff and I am Jamaican Blank so that was different but I had no problems at all. They give free Cup of Noodles which is such a nice perk.

Home-like and friendly stay

Bring cash when checking in! The hostel was as cozy as one can get from a hostel. The rooms are spacious but can get a bit warm at night if all of the windows aren’t open, a fan is provided in the room. The best part of the hostel is that everything is cleaned every day which was very comforting. The hostel itself is located in a central location so the beach and downtown are both a 15 minute drive away. The owners are also very accommodating, I had to stay an extra day and they managed to find room for me which I really appreciated.

I had no issues! The lady who runs it was great and everyone kept to themselves for the most part. There were some hairs on my bed (looked like the lady who runs it, so prob from making the bed), which was yucky but other than that it was very clean and a great experience!
