AC Temp was 79 when we entered and only cooled down to 76. The room never got cool enough and the operation was so loud that I could not sleep. Terrible experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed for one week in a King room and we were pretty amazed with our stay. The staff informed us they kindly upgraded our room to a corner room since we were staying for a week. This is one of the very few hotels I’ve stayed at that actually had a comfy mattress. I had no problems sleeping in this one. This was important to me since we were going to so many theme parks and walking extensively every day. The staff are all so friendly—especially Miguel in the lot! Rooms are fairly large with lots of windows and an AC. There’s a closet with space for a small suitcase and a safe. Housekeeping came everyday, made the bed and replenished toiletries. The location is amazing. LA is very spread out and this was right in the middle of everything. Disneyland is one hour south, Universal is 20 minutes North, Six Flags one hour north, Santa Monica Pier 30-40 minutes West and of course Hollywood and Sunset are super close. There’s lot of restaurants and cafes nearby (10 minute drive). While this location was extremely convenient, a car is a MUST in LA. When we come back to LA for a more relaxing beach trip, this will absolutely be the hotel we book at.

The reception staff were courteous and informative. When I arrived it was too early to check in but I was able to leave my car onsite while I went out to lunch. The rooms were clean and comfortable though the sheets could use a refresh. The Edmon lobby bar/restaurant had a great happy hour and tasty appetizers. This hotel has a quaint atmosphere and is centrally located.

Lovely vintage charm and very well-kept for a historic hotel. Check-in was easy, and not needing a credit card hold for incidentals was a nice surprise. Being attached to the beautiful Edmon Bar made the stay even more enjoyable.

It’s fine. To be honest it’s a room and not much more, but it is centrally located. The bathroom is small. The sink without a vanity top is a downside. The bed was comfy. The room wasn’t the best maintained, but it was fine enough. The staff were friendly but they don’t have anything to offer except the key card. I almost left but stayed for the lower price and the central location.

The rooms should have coffee makers. Most hotels offer them. There is also no microwave in the room. Just a shared use one outside. Staff was nice, location is great

Great staff, great location, very clean, the coffee shop (at the corner) and the grill and bar (off the lobby) were fantastic. Parking was easy and right at the Hotel. You need to know that the word “Historic” in the name is real. It is 100 years old but in very good shape. The elevator is two person, but worked every time, and we never had to wait. The rooms and bathroom are small but efficient. There are limited electrical outlets, but we made it work. The price is reasonable and you are 4 blocks from Paramount Studios, and right on the road that will take you to the Walk of Fame, museums and much more.
