Found a bed bug in my room during my stay. I reported the issue to the staff immediately, and they instructed me to follow up via email. I have sent three follow-up emails since then, but the hotel management has not responded at all. Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication regarding this hygiene issue.

Had a great stay here. Location (south side of Hollywood) was excellent to the places we wanted to go. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and nicely sized. Onsite parking was most convenient and at a great price (per 24 hrs). Hotel staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. My only critique is that the bathroom was rather tight and could have stood to be larger, but overall this classic and historic hotel is a terrific find and an outstanding value for the price (and the Edmon restaurant is excellent). Would definitely stay again.

Staff - the lady that works during the week was AMAZING! Very welcoming and accommodating. The other staff, not so much. The room was okay - the bed was very uncomfortable and the bathroom had plumbing issues. The hallways were EXTREMELY noisy - makes it difficult to try to relax during the day and the evening. The food and staff at the Edmon, the restaurant downstairs of the hotel was great! Had to leave 2 days early due to emergency and was charged for the 2 nights that I did not stay there. Overall, most likely will not recommend or when I come back to LA, I'll stay somewhere else.

Staff was nice and the onsite restaurant, as well as the nearby Italian restaurant were very good. There is also a great little coffee shop next door with good coffee and breakfast options. The room was adequate, the bathroom was tiny and no counter space at all. Basic needs were fulfilled.

We had a magnificent stay at the Hollywood Historic Hotel. The reception was excellent. Not just that, the cleaning staff were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the historic Hollywood photos, and the hotel's design. The Edmon kitchen bar, the Sweet Corner Coffee and Cakes delicatessen made the stay unforgettable. We look forward to staying again when we visit Los Angeles in the future—the Clare family.

Good value hotel with easy street parking plus a paid parking lot. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. The neighborhood felt safe to us. It’s a bit outdated but it was a good price.

Best place I’ve stayed at in LA. I had a lot of things to do in town, so this hotel was conveniently located super close to everything. The staff are all so sweet and hardworking, and if there ever was a problem, they’d help. Comfortable place too. Love the coffee/bakery shop downstairs and the bar. The old Hollywood vibes are perfect.
